Can you imagine thinking you're tough shit then later realizing you were seconds away from near death? This video is so dumb but I just wanted to talk about it for a brief second. Imagine thinking your tough shit but then seeing the video the next day and realizing how close to death you were? The lady was literally just posting up against Barber's care, so not a big deal a simple "my bad I didn't know it was your car sorry about that" would have been fine, situation neutralized. Instead this bitch....she just kept saying "i'll fuck your face up" and "I'll knock both you bitches out". Props to Barber though for keeping her cool and not sending this drunk bitch to the shadow realm, it's still amazing to me how dumb people are. I'll be honest with you I'm a bitch, someone tells me to get off their car? I apologize about 10 times and maybe even give them money out of my wallet for their troubles. Seriously, someone could insult me to my face and I'd say there is a 95% chance I say nothing because with my luck they would probably have a gun and shoot me because I cut in front of them at a Dunkin because I need my medium black iced coffee more than they did, Anyways, here's video of that bitch and Maycee Barber, also, you know it....I know it, we can't understate that Maycee Barber is a smoke....that is all

So the Buffalo Sabres continue to build on their NHL record of not making the playoffs, it now sits at 13 years, 13 miserable fucking years. The most frustrating thing was, this was it....this was the year we get over that hump, end this playoff drought and we make some noise, we made noise alright but it in a not so good way. Lets start at the the top, our top guys didn't perform, simple as that. Name the player they didn't perform....it's true, you can try and find a silver lining or say this and that but the guys making the money, signing the big ticket and long term contracts simply weren't good enough. THE STARS DIDN'T SHINE Tage Thompson who is coming off an 38 and 47 goal years, comes out flat to start, gets hurt and while 29 goals isn't anything to turn your nose up at it's just not what we expected. Like I said, 29 goals in the NHL is no joke but I mean damn when we're talking about this guy hitting 50 this year and taking this offense to a whole new level, you bet your ass it was disappointing. Then we have Dylan Cozens, another who got extended....signed a fat long term deal, coming off a career year in which we saw Cuzzy score 31 goals, holy shit he was almost no existent for most of the year. We didn't even see Cozens play with any kind of edge or anything that made us love this kid, I mean last year he was starting shit with people just to start shit this year there was no fire at all, finishes the year with 17 goals after putting up career numbers last year, which is something we've all been waiting for from Cuzzy. Let's move on to Alex Tuch, I mean c'mon I felt like he wasn't even on the ice for the first month of the season, he was just kind of skating out there, not doing much of anything at all. The sad reality of it is Tuch let this team in points, how many you ask? 59, 59 effin points is what led this team....and NHL teams leading point scorer had 59 points. Skinner did Skinner things, scored some goals here and there but that's it....literally that's it. I thought Dahlin had a solid season putting up 20 goals for a career high and 2nd on the team in points with 58, I didn't hate Dahl's play at all this year. Same goes for Owen Power, OP had a career year in almost all categories including finishing at a +8 +/- rating. But I mean, as I stated before these guys gotta fucking play better. Coaching, what was the plan? Honestly, I love Donny Meatballs, I truly did but some nights watching this team you can tell there was no accountability with anyone, if you played bad? "eh he had an off night he's fine". Did I want my coach to go out and completely shit on one of his players? No because I think that achieves nothing at all but god damn at least explain where the breakdown was, what went wrong, why it went wrong don't give me the bullshit line of "oh that happens sometimes" no fuck that. Also Matt Ellis? What in gods name is he doing running a power play unit? He has like 9 career goals what the fuck makes anyone thing, yeah this is the guy to run our power play. The defensive strategy was abysmal at best, I mean when the opposing team scores and you have 4 dudes below the goal line? I want my coach to go in the locker room and start punching dudes in the dick for that kind of shit. Again I loved Donny Meatballs, He has us in a better spot than when he took over which was in the middle of that 18 game losing streak, he's developed our guys into the players they are and I thank him for everything he's given to this team but we need that coach to take us over the hump now and be consistent game in and game out. Front office and Ownership? What's the move? Make us believe again I don't hate Kevyn Adams, actually the opposite, I like him a lot. I thought Adams said all the right things at his presser yesterday and he said things that no one else has said that needed to be said. He's right, this team isn't performing good enough, they haven't earned shit in this league, players need to be accountable. But what he is going to do? Who is he going to hire as the coach? Are players on their way out? Only time will tell but I do think Adams is the right choice for our GM, if not then we move on....like always. Adams said at his presser the Terry Pegula is very much involved in the running of this team and his passion for this team is still there, do I believe it? I don't know honestly. I guess it is very tough to be so hands on with the team knowing what his wife is going through. After the article came out written by Jessica Pegula detailing her mothers health issues, it truly was heartbreaking and you have to take a step back and really think about life and that the Pegula's sure are billionaire's but they are human beings too. So if Terry can get the right hockey people in place? I think we'll be ok..... Who's our next coach? Let's start with the coaching search, there's a few candidates that come to mind right off the bat. You have to think Craig Berube is in this conversation, took a 2019 St. Louis Blues team to the Stanley Cup when at the all-star break they were one of if not the worst team in the NHL. A more (in some people's eyes) controversial decision would be Joel Quenneville, In my opinion I think what happened when he was in Chicago is awful but on the other hand he made peace, he has apologized to Kyle Beach and the hockey world for his actions and I am sorry I'm not hear to explain the Kyle Beach situation, YouTube it if you don't know. What you cannot argue with is his success, 21 playoff appearances in 24 years as a head coach that includes 3 Stanley Cups. Now let's get to my last candidate I want to talk about, they say "to move forward you must look back"....Lindy Ruff.....I don't hate it....but is it purely for nostalgia purposes or do I think Lindy is what we need.....a little of both. I think his coaching style is EXACTLY what this team needs and you bet your ass I'd love to see him behind the bench in KeyBank again. Let's be honest, none of us know who the hell the next coach is going to be but you can be sure of one thing, Adams better hit this one out of the fucking park because if we have another Krueger situation his head will be the next one the fans want. The lone bright spots This one is going to be real short and sweet. You can argue with me all you want but it's UPL and JJ Peterka. UPL had 27 wins, 5 shutouts and a 2.57 GAA. He carried the load when we needed him to and the team let him down. We lost how many 2-1 or 1-0 games? A year after being one of the top 3 highest scoring teams in the NHL, imagine if we had this goaltending last year? We would have won the presidents trophy. Peterka was fantastic this year, putting up a career high 28 goals and 50 points. He was tremendous on the powerplay and seemed to be all over the ice, again we've been waiting for that from JJ and hopefully he isn't like the rest of the team and takes a dip next year. Lastly, the roster.....what's going to happen? Let's start with the fact we don't have a captain. Just me saying it, I think it's going to be Rasmus Dahlin and I for one have no problem with that at all. He's shown he gives a shit about this team, he plays like a complete prick and he leads on the ice, as far as the alternates go I think it should be Tuch and Cozens,,,,yeah I know a couple paragraphs ago I shit all over them but if they show the same fire they had last year then give them the "A"'s. I think it's safe to say we've seen the last of Olofsson and Girgensons and I'm fine with it, there's 6.5 million in cap space we have now to work with. Olofsson sucks and Girgensons is at best a grinder and we don't need that. I think we need to keep Bo Byram for the long term then our core 4 defenseman are set, UPL needs to be re-signed especially if he puts in another year like he just had. Now let's go back to our core 4 defensman.....dude....Mattias Samuelsson needs to stay healthy and play a full NHL season, after inking a 7 year 30 million dollar deal Samuelsson got a season ending injury for the second straight year, When healthy Sammi is a top shut down d-man in the league, stats don't lie, this team is better with him in the lineup. Speaking of staying healthy Jack Quinn should have never returned to the lineup this year after a second terrible knee injury, we've seen what he can do when he's healthy Quinn had 19 points in 27 games this year. What'd we do if these two can't stay healthy? I'm just sayin I think they need to go, what good are they to us if they're not in the lineup? The final reaction It sucks, this may be a HUGE overreaction but this sucks and it sucks bad. I love this team like I love this fucking team, If you know me I love Notre Dame football and I love the Sabres and If you know me I've always said Sabres Stanley Cup before anything, that's what I want. One of my favorite things to see at the end of the year is the last few minutes of the Stanley Cup Finals(I didn't watch the Vegas one because fuck Jack Eichel I hope he gets herpes) because I love the hoisting of the Cup, the ceremony, the presentation and every year I sit and say "some day, some day that's gonna be us, I know it" and it's tough to sit there and even imagine it anymore, we're on a 13 year playoff drought, while we might not be the doormat of the NHL like we were under Krueger you can bet your ass their are teams out there who consider us a joke. I want to believe we're going to turn it around, I want to believe we're gonna get the coach who takes us to the promiseland, I want to believe this is the roster that's going to take us there.....but when you keep seeing the same song and dance every year it's tough to believe anymore, it really is. I think, maybe HOPE we can do this I really do hope, I want to enjoy watching Sabres games again, I miss it man, I do....my last note for the 2023-2024 season.... I believe next year is different, I believe truly the drought ends and I believe we aren't a joke anymore and the city of Buffalo and Sabres fans all over can go out and say "yeah I'm a Sabres fan" with pride again. This Wrestlemania is completely stacked from top to bottom, I can confidently say this is the first time in forever I may watch every match well....except for one....maybe two. All the title matches should be unreal from the women's title matches all the way to the main event all of them should be bangers. Honestly the WWE did a great job setting this card. So let's begin with night 1 shall we?
Rhea Ripley(C) v's Becky Lynch (Women's World Championship) This match is going to be awesome, the promos on each have been great, Rhea mentioning Becky's daughter was a tremendous heel move and both of these women may be the two best female wrestlers. Rhea has been just unreal the last year with the belt and is just a monster in the ring but who doesn't love big time becks? I can see this match going either way but, to be honest I'm not really sure who's going to win. Prediction: Becky Lynch wins the Title Gunter(C) v's Sami Zayn (Intercontinental Championship) Honestly? I don't think I'm crazy to say Gunther could be the best wrestler in the world, think to yourself, have you ever seen a bad Gunter match? Yeah, me neither. The longest reigning IC champion of all-time takes on the scrappy and in my opinion underrated Sami Zayn. I think this may be the best match of the night, maybe even the best match of the weekend. Gunther always perform and when Sami is on the big stage he always puts on a show as well. Another match I can see going either way, I would love to see Zayn have a big moment here but he did headline mania last year and maybe that was his big moment? Prediction: Gunter retains his title The Judgement Day(C) v's The New Day v's #DIY v's The Awesome Truth v's A-Town Down Under v's New Catch Republic (6-pack ladder match for the Tag Team Titles) I think this match will be good and I personally think the worst team in this match are the champs, I love Finn Balor but Damien Priest is terrible, he can't talk, he's a shit wrestler why does he have the MITB briefcase again? So help me god if he cashes in....never mind i'll just talk about this match. My heart wants #DIY to win, I'm not sure if they will but if they somehow do I think that place will fucking explode. I honestly think the dark horse in this match is The Awesome Truth, with everything R-Truth has done with judgment day over the past couple months it would be poetic justice for him to stand on top of the ladder in front of a Wrestlemania crowd holding the belts. Prediction: The Awesome Truth win tag gold Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill and Naomi v's Damage CTRL This is one of the matches I thought I wouldn't care about but I am pretty intrigued to see Jade Cargill in a WWE ring for a match. I wasn't the biggest Cargill fan in AEW but just seeing her in the Rumble it seems she's really progressed and gotten a lot better. Prediction: Belair, Cargill and Naomi pick up the dub Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee v's Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio This was the match I was talking about, I don't care honestly who cares at all. I still stand by the fact Dominik Mysterio is fucking terrible. Prediction: I don't care The Bloodline(Roman Reigns and the Rock) v's Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes I'm not sure.... I'm not sure how I feel about this. I'm intrigued to see the Rock in the ring for the first time in I have no clue how many years, I'm not sure I like the idea of Rollins and Rhodes going bot nights, god forbid the nightmare scenario of one of them getting injured happens? Can you fucking imagine? I think it'll be a good match and I don't see anyway the bloodline doesn't stand tall here. The story for this match has been amazing, the promos on both sides have been A+++ it's been an unreal build Prediction: Bloodline stands tall PART 2, NIGHT 2 *COMING SOON* With the CFP being expanded can we finally do it? And can we finally win a playoff game? I think so, I think we can.....I hope. The Sam Hartman experiment had it moments, until it didn't, Hartman was supposed to be the piece to get us over the hump, we finally had a QB to take us to the playoffs. I like Sam, I really did but let's be real when we needed him most? He came up short. Gerrad Parker is gone as OC, praise Jesus and the return of Mike Denbrock from LSU is a gigantic upgrade, again Parker was horrendous. The play calling during the end of the Ohio State game was beyond atrocious, we had that game in hand it was time for us to finally get that signature win and we fucked it up, not to mention Hartman running out of bounds instead of trying to get that first down that effed us too. Also games like Clemson, Louisville were just absurd that we lost either of those games, the Clemson game we had opportunity after opportunity and we just could not capitalize, the Louisville game, Hartman played by far his worst game in a Notre Dame uniform all season but what do we have to look forward too in 2024?
With Duke transfer Riley Leonard almost certainly penciled in as the #1 QB we're going to have a dynamic QB that can make plays with his feet and stand in the pocket and sling it. If Leonard stays healthy it can be a big year for this offense under Denbrock. Running back, we lost Audric Estime which yeah it sucks, he was easily our best running back in the last 10 years but that is one position we don't have to worry about, our running back room is deep, real deep. With Jeremiyah Love, Jadarian Price and Gi'bran Payne ND will have an inevitable three headed monster in the backfield, all three are absolutely dynamic but will run you the fuck over if you're in their way. Now, the wideouts, I personally believe this might be the most overlooked group on this whole team. Kris Mitchell a former 1,000 yard wide receiver from FIU comes over in the portal, along with Beaux Collins from Clemson will be great additions to an already talented room. Look for lacrosse Jordan Faison to have a good year along with returning sophomore Jayden Greathouse, adding that to the experience of seniors Jayden Thomas and Deion Kolzie I think the Irish will be all set at wideout. I mean then, c'mon....we're tight end U baby, with Mitchell Evans returning for his senior season, Eli Raridon is 100% healthy not to mention a litter of other options at TE.....of course ND is all set there. The offensive line is going to need some restructuring after losing Joe Alt and Blake Fisher to the NFL and Zeke Correll transferring to NC State we are going to see some new faces on the o-line but not to fear, ND has recruited so well on the offensive line the last few years I think we will be ok once we gel up front. Names like Charles Jaguash, Rocco Spindler and Joe Otting will be big up front for the Irish offense in 2024. Defensively, we'll be fine because I'll be honest, I believe we have the best defensive coordinator in the country with Al Golden. Jack Kiser, Xavier Watts, Jordan Botelho, Rylie Mills and Howard Cross III will be the veteran leaders on this defense we need. Cross and Mills are absolute monsters up the middle and when Botelho is on his game he can be an absolute terror off the edge. Duke transfer RJ Oben will be a force upfront with Cross and look for guys like Boubacar Traore, Aiden Gobaira and Jason Onye filter in and out to complete a pretty dominate defensive line. Along with linebacker Jack Kiser, I think you're gonna see Drayk Bowen, Jaiden Ausberry and Jaylen Sneed to complete the linebacking corps, which is why having Kiser lead such a young group is key to the success here. Don't be surprised if freshman Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa makes an impact on this defense as well. In the secondary this is a solid mix of vets and new faces to be excited about. Corner we have seniors Clarence Lewis, Jaden Mickey and stud sophomore Christian Gray. Safety we have the best defensive player in the country Xavier Watts....then I'm not really certain who is going to start back there with Watts. Personally I think it's going to be Adon Shuler who plays along side Watts. Notre Dame has a super favorable schedule, I would honestly be shocked if we don't make it to the CFP. We have the roster to do and in my opinion(which may be biased) one of the best coaching staff in the nation. Notre Dame just has to make sure they don't play down to the level of their opponent, like they seem to do every friggen year. If they play like they should, you're looking at a top 5-10 football team who should make the playoffs and make a run too. It can be understated that Deion has already done some great things at Colorado, whether it be pulling in be recruits, utilizing the transfer portal to the fullest extent or literally tripling the Buffaloes win total of 1 from last season. Does Coach Prime rub people the wrong way? For sure but he's been rubbing people the wrong way his entire career, that's what he does. Hand up I was one of the people rooting hard against Deion, was actually pretty stoked when he got annihilated by Oregon. The sports media and normal media alike has been cramming Colorado and Coach Prime down our throats since Deion came to Colorado, it was a lot. The fact is Colorado isn't there yet, they have a long way to go to be considered a top 10 team. Look at the facts, they beat a grossly overrated TCU team who lost 20 starters, a rebuilding Nebraska team and had to come from behind and take Colorado State to over time. I guess my point since they started was, let's not crown them yet. Deion is doing incredible things and will continue to do incredible things but they are no where near the upper level of College Football just yet, so if we can pull it back a bit, enjoy watching them, it'll be fun. Shadeur is an absolute stud, Travis Hunter is a dog and he'll pull in some solid recruits just by being Prime.
Now on the flipside let's not glorify every loss that they have like they're nothing. Colorado has made close to $100 million in revenue already, you read that correctly $100....million. Last year they were 1-11, they won 1 game against a bad Cal team and 10 out of their 11 loses they lost by more than 20 points. The fanbase will be happy with a fuckin 5-7 team this year, they're currently 3-2 and coming off a loss to USC where they came back in the second half and nearly pulled out the dub. They still have a lot of tough games left so we'll see how the rest of the year turns out. Let's not glorify every loss, let's not suck Coach Prime off after every win. Colorado isn't Georgia, Alabama, Oregon, Texas, Notre Dame they're not even close. Will they be one day? I can't say, I'm genuinely not smart but I can tell you this, if they win a National Title before Notre Dame I will lay down in the middle of the highway. First off let me get this out of the way real quickly, I do not dislike Megan Rapinoe due to her sexual preference or political affiliation, I don't care about any of that shit. Love who you love and vote for whoever you want, they all suck anyways. Yes, Rapinoe was one of the best US women's players ever but she is so absolutely insufferable. She's just purely annoying, yeah I said it she's one of the most annoying athletes I've ever seen. Whether it be her lame dancing wherever she is, her lame suits and stupid sunglasses she always wears, also? I believe she may secretly be kind of a dick. Equally pay for women was a solid thing I could get behind, mainly because the USA men's team has been so dreadful for so long but her constantly coming out and continually talking shit about the USA(no matter who the president was) was just so annoying. She always on her god damn soap box about this thing or that thing, Jesus I feel like all we've seen in the last year as far as women's soccer goes is her and I was for one thrilled to see her retire.
Let's go back to her HORRENDOUS missed PK in the world cup then she smiles afterwards. Let's be real, she didn't give a shitttt. She was just terrible during the entire tournament, she shouldn't even have made the team. Can you imagine some little girl watching the game thinking "she's nailing this PK" then she screams one 10 feet over the bar and crushes that little girls hopes? That was she is a dream crusher. Right after they won the World Cup she was asked about attending the White House and her response was "I'm not going to the fucking White House, we won't be invited". Yeah I'll be the first to say it, I don't like Trump never have never will, think he's kind of a chode. I know you can say "But but but Patttt they asked her a question", I know but she doesn't have to be such a dipshit about it and it always someone comes back to Trump, he's been gone for 3 years can we just fucking let it go now? For fucks sake she's been talking about this guy when he got in and the 3 years since. Let's not forget when she kneeled for the national anthem, I get it I get it....but can you imagine this movement when it started? Someone sitting here fighting for equality thinking "man I hope some random white women's soccer player kneels to support us". It was the most "look at me moment I've ever seen", no one really gave a shit about her then she thrusted herself into the spotlight by "Standing up to injustice". CMONNNNN she doesn't give a shit about injustice, she never did....Megan Rapinoe cares about Megan Rapinoe. Then there was this moment.....Jesus Christ did this moment piss me off. I believe it was 2 years ago at the ESPY's, she sitting with her wife Sue Bird, when a young kid....maybe 10-12 years old? Comes up for an autograph. Think of it like this? Can you imagine sitting there thinking you've been sitting there waiting to meet her, waiting for her to sign this soccer ball and the girl signs it, doesn't even speak to you, doesn't make eye contact with you, shoos you away when she's done. If this was any other athlete they would be DESTROYED for this, Imagine if Patrick Mahomes or Lebron did this? Holy shit ESPN would have a field day calling them terrible people and asking what their problem was. But because for some reason Megan Rapinoe is put on such a pedestal, no one gave a shit. She was such an absolute dick here and through all the other times I've mentioned. Let me start off by saying a lot of this is my fault, I could be a normal human being a just watch sports for fun but that's not how I'm wired. Even now as a father I'm way to invested with how my teams perform, to the point where if my team loses? My day is completely ruined. I'm 36 years old soon to be 37 in a couple of months and I have yet to see a championship in my life time(I don't count the Bulls from the 90's because everyone was a Bulls fan and when Cuse won the natty in 2003 it sucked because everyone around me is a fucking Cuse fan). For Christ sake Cubs fans and Red Sox fans have even seen a World Series title and they didn't win a title for about 300 years. I sometimes sit and think to myself, is it me god? Or did I just pick bad teams? Maybe in my past life I did such terrible things that this is my penance that I have to pay? I don't know but I would like to analyze my heartache. First let's start with the fact I'm a Notre Dame football fan or as I like to call them the Buffalo Bill of college football. For the past 10-12 years we've been good not great. Just a constant swinging door of average. They are the team who beats the teams they're supposed to beat and they never beat the teams they shouldn't. I started with Notre Dame because they are the team that has broken my heart most recently with a metaphorical kick in my nads with the loss to Ohio State. The fact that they out played the Buckeyes, ran for nearly 200 yards dominant defensively then we play bitch ball at the end of the game on offense and let up a touchdown with 4 seconds left. I've seen this team go to one National Title game and get their shit absolutely pushed in by Alabama. They've been to two College Football Playoffs and again.....got their shit pushed in by Alabama(again) and Clemson. Sure you wanna say we beat Clemson when they were #1....Trevor Lawrence had COVID and didn't play....oh yeah then when Lawrence played us in the ACC title game? Lawrence absolutely DESTROYED us. Sure that was Brian Kelly's thing, could never win a big game....shit he's still doing that at LSU. This year should be the best chance that the Irish could get that Natty Title chance, there is not one team above and beyond in college football this year, the loss to OSU knocked us down but not out.....if they run the table? There is still a shot at the CFP SADNESS RATING: Kind of like finding out my parents weren't really my parents but I was adopted 6 out of 10 On to the Carolina Panthers....idk man this team just blows. Now first let me say Super Bowl 37? That was amazing, we were right there....right fucking there. Jake Delhomme played his absolute balls off, out dueled Tom Brady the entire game, I do not care what any one says it's the truth, Carolina's front 4 on defense was unreal, the running game with Davis and Foster was top notch and Smith and Muhammad at wideout were one of the best receiving duo's in the NFL. Then John Kasay kicks the kickoff out of bounds....the Pats march down the field and Adam Vinatieri kicked another fucking game wining field goal and ripped my heart out again. Then there were the next years....they were bad.....real bad. BUT WAIT! WAIT! WE GOT CAM NEWTON! Cam came in won and MVP 3 straight division titles and it was time it was our fucking time. Super Bowl 50, 2015 Carolina went 15-1, completely dominate in the NFC playoffs capping it with an absolute ass kicking of Arizona, just beating the SHIT out of the Cardinals 49-15....absolutely untouchable it was our year. NOPE! Super bowl comes, just an incredibly hideous game, Cam played like garbage, Peyton didn't win the game the Panthers lost it. The offense was fucking horrible and the defense couldn't make stops when they needed. Let's not forget about Came making a "business decision" and not jumping on a fumbled ball basically calling it quits. Then Jerry Richardson made a comment about some girls jeans, he sold the team to David Tepper and he completely drove it into the ground. He hired Matt Rhule who was at best a joke, now we have Frank Reich who's something like 3-17 in his last 20 games, we traded a shit ton to get Bryce Young to be our QB which he might be good but the team around him is just terribly offensive. It's going to get way worse before it gets any kind of better in Carolina, hopefully Tepper says something about someone's jeans and he has to sell the team. SADNESS RATING: It's kind of like going out to a fancy restaurant then when he pull the cover off of your plate instead of food its just a big pile of shit and for dessert the waiter comes out and puts a lit cigarette out on your face 8/10 Now we come to the Buffalo Sabres....I've seen 1 Stanley Cup appearance in 20 plus years of watching this team, we've had some pretty solid times and some absolutely awful times. It has been 12 years and counting since the Buffalo Sabres have made the playoffs and let's be honest for 11 of those 12 years it's been real fucking bad. The last time we made the playoffs was 2011, we were the #7 seed and we played the Flyers the #2 seed in standard Buffalo fashion we took a 3-2 lead, lost game 6 in OT then got beat 5-2 in game 7 and it wasn't close they scored 5 goals, Ryan Miller got mercy pulled and that was it.....the Sabres as I knew them were done. They were all gone sooner rather than later....Miller, Vanek, Soupy, Roy....all of them gone. Miller got traded in 2014 to St Louis and we haven't had a real goalie in the near decade since he left. In the 12 years since we made the playoffs we've had 7 coaches including Ralph Krueger who I still say is the literal worst NHL coach in the history of man, I don't think people understand how far back Krueger set the Sabres back. I mean fuck we've been so bad, I think we had the worst record in the NHL 3-4 times, we've picked in the top 10 constantly, had the #1 pick twice and 12 years later we're finally getting there. Now I come to the man who was supposed to save this franchise.....Jack Eichel. Eichel was taken by the Sabres #2 overall in 2015 and he was supposed to be the guy.....he was supposed to save our franchise, we gave him an 8 year deal, 10 million a year, named him captain but the wheels fell off. Eichel was never a captain he was a douche, chasing coaches and players like Ryan O'Reily out of town, he was a cock sucker to fans and a complete diva. Eichel had a neck injury, wanted this surgery, Sabres wanted him to have that surgery, blah blah blah blah and Buffalo became the laughing stock of the NHL. Eichel was eventually traded to Vegas got his surgery, won a cup, can go fuck himself. It's almost like when Eichel got traded, not to sound corny....the healing and the rebuild could finally get going. Buffalo now has superstar and 40 goal scorer Tage Thompson, Jeff Skinner, Alex Tuch and young stud Dylan Cozens have been putting up 30 goals. young defenseman like Rasmus Dahlin and Owen Power are looking to anchor the defense for years to come and the cherry on top is.....the Sabres may have finally found their goalie in 21 year ABSOLUTE STUD Devon Levi. This could be the year the Sabres break the playoff drought and make some noise this year. But overall it's been a painful last DOZEN years. SADNESS RATING: It's kind of like having a great job, great wife and family...then you find out your wife was a whore the whole time and was banging your boss, the kids aren't really yours, she leaves, takes the kids and the dog and you become a raging alcoholic for over a decade but now you've decided to get clean and find the love of your life. 8/10 Then we come to the New York Mets, They suck. They always suck, they're always going to suck. No matter how much money they spend, no matter what stars play for them.....they're always going to suck. Babe Ruth and Ted Williams could come back from the dead and Babe Ruth would hit 5 home runs and Ted Williams batting average would be under .200. Prime Nolan Ryan could pitch for this team and go 2-22 and have an ERA over 5. We could get Shoehei Ohtani, Mike Trout and Ronal Acuna and they would all simultaneously tear their ACL's coming off the fucking bus to the game. Again the Mets are suck and they will always be suck SADNESS RATING: It's kind of like when you marry a prostitute then find out she's banging random people, you knew.....you always knew 1/10 I know they suck DISCLAIMER: I blame a lot of this on my brother because growing up I followed the same teams he did, Thanks for nothing and pain Mike! Every time, every friggen time I get excited for this team it never turns out well for me. I wish I could just be normal and not base my happiness off of a bunch of 18-22 year old kids but that's not how I'm wired. Last night Notre Dame lost on the final play of the game in which they only had 10 guys lined up on defense, that shit can't happen. I think the thing about this one that sucks so badly is we had it.....we had this fuckin game locked sealed and we didn't deliver. There are so many positives to take out of this game, the defense looked real good, ND ran for close to 200 yards, Hartman played super efficient, we just couldn't close......and there were so many chances to put the nail in the buckeyes coffin. So many what if's and mistakes that just can't happen. In a year College Football seems very wide open, with no team really setting the tone and dominating weekly, this seemed to be the perfect year for the Irish to make there case and be in the college football playoffs, I'm not saying that still can't happen but it's a longer road now.
On the opening drive Notre Dame easily went down the field on the OSU defense, then 4th down Hartman rolled out and got stopped just short. Now I still think the play should have never been overturned but such is life, in a situation like that Sam Hartman needs to lower the shoulder and run that defender the fuck over for that extra inch and leave absolutely no doubt. Then Spencer Shrader misses another field goal, now making him 3-8 on the year, Schrader has a big leg but he absolutely needs to be more accurate. Then we come to the defensive side of the ball, overall I thought defensively they looked really well, ND dropped at least 2 sure fire interceptions which could have really swung the momentum but just didn't happen, take away the 60 yard run by Henderson? Ohio State's offense didn't do much, I wasn't impressed by Kyle McCord at all and Notre Dame should have won this game by double digits, which like I stated before make's this one so tough to swallow. Then we come to the last drive of the game, which was a real kick in the balls. First Ohio State converts a 4th and 7 by about a ball hair. Then DJ Brown let's an interception go right through his finger tips. Then the first kick in the dick, Ohio State converts a 3rd and 19 which should have never happened, they played way to soft off the ball and have Ohio States wide receivers all the room in the world to make a play. Ohio State runs a play action bootleg pass which ND defends beautifully with 10 men on the field. Ohio State lines up for the last play of the game and Notre Dame still has 10 men on the field, Buckeyes run a draw which anyone could have seen coming but it would have been better to have 11 men on the field instead of 10....Ohio State takes the lead with .1 seconds left and once again rips my heart out. Notre Dame made a huge 4th down stop late in the game to get the ball back and the play calling was horrendous. When ND got the ball back it was time to bully the fuck out of OSU's front 4, it was our time to finish the job, the Buckeyes were reeling and on the ropes, we couldn't deliver the knockout blow, which great teams do. A shit screen pass and a botched run play was all we mustered when we got the ball back. Notre Dame has the best O-line in the country in my opinion and it was time for them to take over and assert their will over Ohio States defense but we didn't do it. Like I said my tune has changed from last night when I was ready to stop watching for the year and completely give up on this season, we have top 15 duke this week and if ND can come back with a monster and dominating performance against a really good Duke team that puts our name right back in there with other CFP teams. We still have USC and Clemson(Away) If Notre Dame can run the gauntlet and get some help from other teams it would be tough for them not to be under consideration for the top 4 Listen, let me start this off by saying I love Josh Allen. I think he's a top 5 quarterback in the league and I don't think there is any arguing that point. But it's almost like sometimes his football IQ his non existent. I mean yeah, we've seen Josh Allen be an absolute stud at times you could make an argument for him as the best QB in the NFL but it just seems like there are times where you just wanna scream. Monday against the Jets for sure seemed like one of those times. Allen had 4 turnovers(3 INT 1 FUMBLE) all of which were Josh Allen's fault, the 3 interceptions were all on Allen, you cannot watch those picks and act like they were amazing defensive plays. The first Allen rolled out and launched an arrant throw deep into double coverage, the second he launched deep while being hit....into double coverage....then the third.....into double coverage. Allen's fumble just hit him while he was in shotgun, he dropped it, picked it up, dropped it again. Yes I think the Jets defense have a top 5 defense in the NFL but the unforced errors Allen makes are costing Buffalo games, I don't think there is any denying that. On the other side of the coin there are games where Josh Allen's gunslinger, try to do it all mentality has won the Bills a lot of games. How many times against the Jets did we see Allen run the ball.....with open field in front of him but he decided to try and throw the ball into a tight area for an incompletion or even a pick. I can't remember the exact play but it was about 3rd and 12, Allen took off running then decided he would try and dive over 2 Jets defenders when he was about 5-6 yards away from the first down. I still think the Bills overall are a work in progress but now do they have to worry about their franchise QB? I don't think it's time to worry just yet. Josh had a bad game Monday.....a real bad game which is going to happen. The concerning thing was like I said all the errors were unforced. He needs to learn how to throw the ball away, to slide and all that shit QB's with a high football IQ do. Allen is a riverboat gambler and that's why we love him. With Allen you take all the good with all the bad. I think Josh will be just fine in the end but as a Bills fan you have to be somewhat concerened about it . Yeah, Tommy Rees left for Alabama, so what? I appreciate everything Tommy has done at ND, whether it be as a player or as a coach but I'm going to be honest here, it doesn't seem like the biggest loss in the world to me. I'm not saying Rees was a bad coordinator because in no way shape or form do I believe he was. Rees sure as shit made some questionable calls during the season. For me going into this season it was "Oh, Rees got handcuffed by Brian Kelly now he's going to let it fly" he didn't. Yeah we lost Buchner in the second game of the season and had to ride with Drew Pyne the rest of the year, for Rees to make Drew Pyne into a 9-4 starter and to look average to above average at time, is nothing short of a miracle. But I don't know maybe Rees being the o-coordinator was just cool because he used to be a QB in South Bend. Now Marcus Freeman can hand pick his guy to lead this offense and with Sam Hartman coming in? Damn is this offense going to be fun to watch. So who is it? Who's next? Let's take a look at some realistic and some pipe dream candidates to lead Notre Dame's offense next.
Gerard Parker(Notre Dame Tight End coach) Parker and coach Freeman worked together at Purdue. Before Notre Dame parker was the offensive coordinator at West Virginia. Parker was not great as far as stats go at West Virginia but he has done a tremendous job with the tight ends since being at Notre Dame and clearly coach Freeman has some kind of trust in him. Joe Moorehead(Akron Head Coach) Moorhead was actually a candidate to be the Irish offensive coordinator back in 2020 after leading Oregon's offense for the prior 2 seasons but the job went to Rees. He can for sure lead an offense but he was best known for what he did at Penn State from 2016-2017 where Penn State went 22-5 and scored nearly 40 points per game during that time frame(source Irish Breakdown/fan nation) Joe Brady(Buffalo Bills QB Coach) Now this is what I want. As a Panthers fan I was over the moon when Carolina hired him as the OC until Matt Rhule blamed him for everything and fired him. Brady worked with Joe Burrow during his National Championship season at LSU. When at LSU Brady had an offense that put up 48.4 points/game and 568.4 yards/game as the 2019 LSU is team considered one of the greatest college football teams of all-time. Apparently Brady has made it clear he prefers the NFL to college but I mean he's too good not to try and go after, plus the rumor is that's who Sam Hartman wants. Andy Ludwig (Utah offensive coordinator/QB coach Utah's offense has been pretty explosive in the 4 years Ludwig has been there averaging just over 35 points a game. He's got 2 back-to-back Pac 12's titles. Utah has also averaged over 200 yards a game the last 2 years and with the fire power ND has in the backfield? Off that gives me a quarter chub. This is just a few of the names that have been thrown around and for me these are 4 of the top candidates. Will this change? Probably. Byron Leftwich, the former Tampa Bucs offensive coordinator has already called to inquire and he will be on campus next week for an interview. Another name that has been mention heavily is Brian Johnson, the quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles is also supposed to be scheduled for an interview in South Bend. With the fire power ND has on offense and with Sam Hartman coming in at QB, it's going to be a real interesting time for the Irish and I for one am here for it. The Notre Dame faithful trust Marcus Freeman and trust him to make the right decision. Notre Dame has a strong shot to make the college football playoffs this year and with the right offensive coordinator this team could be nothing short of explosive |
