Liverpool FC, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea FC, Arsenal FC, Tottenham Hotspur, Real Madrid, Barcelona FC. Athletico Madrid, Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan are the 12 teams that have announced they are making they're own league and calling it the European Super League. This announcement has been met with unbelievable backlash and for good reason. This is a move based purely on the greed of the 12 owners of these clubs. UEFA announced that any club that joins this league will no longer be allowed to participate in any UEFA competition, which includes The Champions League and The Europa League. FIFA has said any player in this league will not be allowed to play for their respective countries in the World Cup. Fans from Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have held protests while hanging banners outside standing defiant against this decision .Fans from all over England are starting to rebel against this decision by the top 6 teams to join this league and to be honest I don't blame them one bit. Say Tottenham sucks in the EPL? They won't give a shit about performing anymore, they'll just worry about their performance in the new Super League. This league formation is a move based completely off of greed and it's frankly disgusting. This will be simply devastating to European leagues all around Europe, these top 6 teams from England will benefit with money from the Super League and it will filter back into the EPL. There will simply be nothing to play for anymore, think of the Dutch League, The Scottish League and so on? This is complete bullshit, I'm not sure these owners realize how crippling it will be to make these clubs insanely rich with other teams knowing they can never catch up. I know I am focusing primarily on the EPL but half of the teams in this is league are coming from England, now what happens to the smaller leagues? Do they just disappear? This is a scary situation for these leagues and the lower league teams in England. This league will be taking money away from smaller tier teams and I'm not sure if these leagues or teams could even survive this. The most terrible thing is the "not knowing" no one knows what the fuck is going to happen. Unfortunately this day seemed to be coming for a long time now, will it be good or bad? I'm not sure only time will tell what happens with these developments. Tomorrow the other 14 EPL teams will be meeting to see what the next move is for the future of what some may call the best football league in the world. If you're FIFA, UEFA or the EPL I think you have to stay strong and carry out your threats to try to dismantle this league. You have to feel horrible for players on some of these teams....imagine working your whole life to try and play for your national team now its all taken away due to the greed of your owners. Also a big kudos to big clubs like Bayern, Dortmund and PSG telling this league to fuck off that they don't want to be apart of this....for now that is. Again only time will tell how this all plays out. More to come in the next weeks and months.....so stay tuned.

Since firing Ralph Krueger the Sabres have actually looked pretty good. Do I think interim Head Coach Don Granato is the right guy behind the bench for the Sabres? I'm not sure....but I'm sure as hell not opposed to it right now. Players have completely stepped up their game, Casey Mittlestadt is playing the best hockey he's ever played in the NHL, Rasumus Dahlin is looking so much better offensively, Jeff Skinner and Victor Olofsson are scoring goals and it seems to be no matter who we start in net they play well. Rumors have come out saying when Krueger held practices some players didn't even show up, now Granato is grinding these guys at practice and the results speak for themselves. This just proves Ralph Krueger is the worst coach in Buffalo Sabres history, his system sucked, his coaching style sucked and his overall careless attitude about how bad the team was under him sucked. I fully blame the failure of this year on Kevyn Adams, Terry and Kim Pegula. They waited far to long to fire this guy, they waited for a 12 game losing streak to get rid of Krueger and by then the season was already lost. Yes, Granato started off 0-6 but it's not easy to get rid of such a losing culture like the one that was surrounding KeyBank Center. In the 11 games since the 18 game losing streak the Buffalo Sabres are 6-3-2 and their last two wins against the Caps and Penguins they played the two most complete games they've played all year. Now I think the focus needs to be on what's next for the Buffalo Sabres? Let's take a deeper dive into what could be next or what I hope to be next for this team in the offseason.
I think the first move we need to make is to re-sign Linus Ullmark, yes I know he said he wants to test free agency but I think we need him because he's proven he can be a #1 goalie in this league. I do think they need a legitimate backup for Ullmark and there are definitely some veteran backups we can go after to sure up the net for next season. Guys like James Reimer, Jonathan Bernie, David Rittich and Jaroslav Halak are just some of the names I wouldn't mind getting in to split time with Ullmark. Then I think we need to move on to our own free agents. For Chris sakes can we finally give Sam Reinhart a real contract, he doesn't need to prove himself anymore.....sign him for 3-4 years and thats the end of it. Jake McCabe is a UFA and there isn't a doubt that he should get signed to a long term deal, he's a great stay at home defender and is just what the Sabres need for a rebuild. Rasmus Dahlin is an RFA, we have to sign him eventually I don't know if we should take care of it this year or wait until is a full on UFA next year. We need to add real depth guys, not Cody Eakin. I full on would also not be opposed to bringing back Brandon Montour, I don't know what his cap hit is gonna be or if he'll even wanna play there again. But I think before all of this we have to figure out what we do with the Captain, I'm full on 50/50 on if the Sabres trade Jack or not this offseason. I truly hope they don't, despite some Sabres fans clammering about Eichel being the problem I believe he's far from the cause of the Sabres failures. But all in all it should be a very, very interesting offseason to come for the Sabres....to say the least. How the fuck did we end up here? Ben Askren retired 19-2 professional fighter is going up against "YouTube Star" Jake Paul .....in a boxing match. Let me say this Jake Paul is a top 5 douchebag of all time, he and his brother are such fuckin turds. Now, Jake Paul is an astounding 2-0 in professional boxing matches. Who did he beat you ask? Former 5'8 NBA point guard Nate Robinson and AnEsonGib, a 5'7 "YouTuber". If you're a fan of combat sports, is this murderers row of opponents supposed to impress anyone? If you haven't seen Paul's training, he's super sloppy, he's not technical, he legit just looks like a rich guy who's paying for boxing lessons.....probably because that's what he is. Askren wasn't known as a boxer during his MMA career, but god damn he has to be better than this chode, right? Askren's shit talk leading up to the fight has been nothing but amazing, while Jake Paul's shit talk has been nothing but absolute garbage. Paul may be an legitimate idiot, just listen to him talk....you know damn well he was one of the kids who always needed "extra time" to complete a test. But, To Ben? If you beat the fuck out of this little twerp? I think I speak for the entire MMA community that the 5 second Flying knee to Masvidal is erased from the record. I'm sorry but whether your a Pats fan or not this kinda sucks. Julian Edelman is awesome, when he was healthy he was so god damn electric when he had the football. This dude played 100% all the time, when healthy in my opinion he was at least a top 10 wide out in the league. In a classy video Edelman legit thank every member of the New England staff, I mean every single member of that organization. You can say whatever you want but Edelman carried himself with nothing but class. He was a role model in the league and I'm sorry but you can't argue that shit. He had some huge plays in history but none more than that insane tipped juggling/diving catch he made against the 28-3 comeback against the Falcons where the Patriots went on the win Super Bowl LI. So congratulations on retirement Julian, you beat all the odds and lived out your dream in the NFL, it may not have ended the way you wanted it to but it almost never does. So hang your head high and be proud of the career and accolades you put together! Have a great retirement and keep rocking the fuck outta those turtlenecks . Holy shitttttttt Conor is not happy. A little back story, before their fight in January McGregor stated he would donate $500k to Poirier's "the good fight" foundation, but according to a recent tweet Poirier said Conor never ended up donating the money. Now, it appears mystic Mac was none to pleased about this, coming in hot calling Dustin an inbred hillbilly, like jesus Conor came in hot. I can fully see both sides of this argument, for Conor? I get that $500k is a FUCK ton of money to give to something without knowing what the foundation is going to do with the money. Now for Poirier? I get his gripe too, Conor said he'd donate the money and didn't. Poirier seems like the kind of old school guy who goes by the "when a man gives his word he gives his word" motto. Then if you're Dana White, you have to be full on pooping your pants when Conor said the fight was off. This fight fucking has to happen now. The last fight there was really no bad blood at all but holy shit now there's a ton of it. The series is 1-1 with both fighters getting TKO wins over the other. Again this fight has to happen, can you just imagine the pre-fight pressers leading up to this? Right now these dudes fucking hate each other, which always makes for good TV. I pray to the MMA gods that this fight does actually happen and Conor is just a bit pissed and speaking nonsense from how emotional he got when Poirier called him out. Now, I thought the first night of WrestleMania 37 really delivered and was way better then I thought it was going to be. I thought Night 2 would have to pull out all the stops to top night 1.....and it sure as fuck didn't beat night 1. It wasn't even close to be honest with you and night two was really underwhelming.
Randy Orton vs The Fiend(with Alexa Bliss) Six minutes, they gave these two six fuckin minutes to work. What an absolutely shitty way to open the show, these two could have stole the entire night but instead the WWE just gave us a fuckin weird ass match with no time and a weird ass ending. The Fiend turned to Alexa Bliss who started spewing black shit from her head and Orton hit an RKO and then the match was over....not a good start. Nia Jaxx and Shayna Bayzler(Champions) vs Tamina Snuka and Natalya This was the second longest match on night two and it was absolutely abysmal. I'm sorry but Natalya is just so fuckin bad, she's been training for a billion years and she still sucks, she's slow, she's not technical and she's so far from athletic she's laughable. Nia Jaxx and Tamina are two of the worst women's wrestlers in the history of the company. Bayzler is the only one you can make a case for being somewhat of a good wrestler. The champs retain and who gives a shit. Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn (with Logan Paul) These dudes could have stolen the whole fuckin show, but instead they wrestled for 9 minutes, this match pissed me off so bad because it should have been a classic like all their other ones, but once again the WWE mismanaged it. Owens won and the only cool part is when he stunned that douchebag Logan Paul after the match. Sheamus vs Matt Riddle(Champion) It was a short match but not an overall terrible match, It was pretty heavy hitting and both guys looked pretty fucking good. But I gotta be honest I hate the ending, Sheamus hit Riddle with he brogue kick to win his 3,000 US title and the WWE continue to push wrestlers in their 40's. Appollo Crewes vs Big E(Champion) I.....I just don't know, another match I thought could be pretty good but instead it was about 5 minutes. It was dubbed as a "Nigerian Drum Fight" whatever the fuck that is. Appollo Crews won because some big random guy with some sort of African army jacket came out and chokeslammed Big E....so year Appollo is the new IC champ I guess..... Rhea Ripley vs Asuka(champion) This was by far my favorite match of the night, two of the best female wrestlers in the WWE. It was a hard hitting and technical match, Ripley gets the win and is the new Raw women's champ. I love it and it was a great call by WWE to put the title on her. It doesn't hurt Asuka to lose the belt it was a win win for all in this one. Roman Reigns(Champion) vs Edge vs Daniel Bryan Well fuckin surprise surprise! Roman Reigns headlines is 56th WrestleMania, overall it really wasn't a bad match. Hard hitting spots, some big pumps and some huge chair shots. But god damn it WWE stop shoving Roman Reigns down our throat every fuckin week. WWE shoves Reigns down our throat so much it's like their Peter North. Oh yeah AGAIN Roman Reigns won by pinning both Bryan and Edge because ya know....he's the greatest wrestler of all time and that's what he does.....so yeah that was super fun. I'd say for every 4 good champions there's at least 1 equally as bad one. You got legends like Stone Cold, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels the list goes on and on. But a I said with every good champ there's a fuckin bad one and today I'm gonna list off who I think are the WORST champs of all time. Some guys may be a victim of their circumstances, WWE just mishandled their championship run or they could have just been absolute shit as a champion, but lessss go see who we got! Diesel- This one may be controversial, but Big Daddy Cool was not a great WWE Champ. It was at a low point in the company and the ratings were just horrendous. This isn't me saying Diesel was a bad wrestler, but I mean for Christ sakes, he headlined a King of the Ring PPV against Mable for the Belt. If that doesn't tell you the company was at a low point I'm not sure what does . Sycho Sid- I'm sorry but Sid just stunk. this dude should never been the top dawg in the company. Sid had not one good attribute other than the fact he was a big dude. He wasn't some sort of freak super athlete, he wasn't super impressive in ring, he did have a sick Powerbomb but that's where it end for me. Brock Lesnar- I just can't, I just can't. I absolutely hate whenever this guy is holding the belt. He wrestles once a year, he's never even on raw and 76% of his matches are squash matches. I mean shit, they even did John Cena dirty and had Brock destroy him in minutes, which was just absurd. Vince McMahon- This was such a bullshit move. He won the Royal Rumble. I mean, I get it....that's what they wanted, they wanted the fans to be pissed over this and holy shit they got it. Vince should never have held the belt under any circumstance.....ever. Jinder Mahal- Like....what? Why do I even have to talk about this? Why was this fucking guy the WWE champ? Not only did he have it but he had it for over 5 months. 5 MONTHS! THIS GUY WAS THE #1 GUY IN WWE! Like what the fuck were they thinking? He wasn't good, ever....never had a memorable match....never anything, he sucked. Sheamus- I don't know man, I've never been sold on Sheamus. Maybe it's the fact that legit every time he won the belt it was like "what why"? It was never the right time for him to win the belt. He did have some incredible gimmick matches but a regular wrestling match? Never anything to write home about..... Hulk Hogan- This is just when Hogan won the title at the end of WrestleMania IX. This was the worst Mania ever. Bret Hart lost the belt to Yokozuna in an 8 minute match because Mr. Fuji threw salt in Hart's eyes, then Hogan got challenged by Yoko then won the belt? Like what the fuck? WrestleMania 37 is here and night one is over. To be honest, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. There were some real good matches and some real good performances put on by some wrestlers. So with out further ado, let's get into it.... Bobby Lashley (champion) vs Drew McIntyre Now, I'll be honest going into this I shit all over Bobby Lashley, but god damn this was actually a pretty good match to open the show. Lots of hard hitting spots back and forth, at one point McItrye hit 3 huge future shock DDT's on Lashley to which Lashley kicked out of. Almost 18 minutes of back and forth hard hitting spots, but in the end Lashley locked on the "Hurt Lock" to retain the title, but a great way to start the show. Womens Tag Team Turmoil Match(winner receives tag title shot on night 2) Yeah, talk about a come down from the first match, this was just clunky with just some overall bad wrestling. Natalya and Tamina won the match, I've been on record saying Natalya is only still here because of her uncle.....she is in my opinion one of the most overrated women's wrestlers in the company and I will firmly stick to that belief. Cesaro vs Seth Rollins I mean, what more can you say? These two dudes have been putting on amazing matches with whoever they are in the ring with and this was no exception. Cesaro even brought back the big swing, for a mid card match I am genuinely not sure if you'll see one better. This dudes put on a master class of wrestling with big spots mixed in. Cesaro got the win, clean and maybe will finally get his long awaited push the fans have been waiting for. The New Day (Champions) v's AJ Styles and Omos To be honest? This was an ok match but it almost felt like a squash match. For a team like the New Day who shows out every time they're out there, I dunno this just wasn't a good match. AJ Styles and Omos get the win to become the new tag champs, first title change of Mania weekend and AJ Styles is officially a WWE grand slam champ. Braun Stroman vs Shane McMahon Standard Shan O'mac match, he got some offense in....looked like maybe he'll win. Took a huge spot by getting thrown off the cage, Braun Stroman wins, for me not much to talk about or elaborate on this match. Every mania season its the same recycled shit that they do with Shane. Not to say Shane isn't an absolute crazy person, but the schtick is just getting old to me. Bad Bunny and Damian Priest vs The Miz and John Morrison OOOOOOOF again your standard Mania bullshit. The "Celebrity Match"....The Celebrity wins, gets a couple "big moves" in and the announcers blow their loads acting like the guy can wrestle even a little bit. I'll be completely honest I had the match on, I didn't play close attention, because I couldn't give a shit. Sasha Banks(Champion) vs Bianca Belair I said before, this was the match i was genuinely excited to watch. I think Sasha Banks is one of the best females wrestlers in the world and I think Belair is one of the top young wrestlers in the world. These two didn't disappoint at all, Belair showed off her BIG time strength in this match by holding up banks for a gorilla press slam and walking her up the ring steps. Banks went for the "bank statement" but Belair responded and reversed it with the K.O.D for the win and Belair becomes the new Smackdown women's champion. WWE got this one 100% right, I think Belair could be a legit superstar in the WWE if they promote her correctly. Let's not forget the botched ending by Michael Cole after saying "A kick out by Sasha" and it wasn't even close, even in real time you could tell there wasn't a kick out haha. Michael Cole sucks and congrats to Bianca Belair! NIGHT 2: TONIGHT, Recap tomorrow! Mets players showered with boos after blowing another masterful pitching performance by Jacob deGrom4/10/2021 So far this season Jacob deGrom has 14 innings pitched, 21 strikeouts, an era of 0.64 and a record of 0-2. Today deGrom tied a career high with 14 k's and went 8 innings of 1 run ball. The Mets went on to lose 3-0 and Edwin Diaz gave up to runs in 2/3 of an inning pitched. The Mets had 3 god damn hits today against the 1-6 Florida Marlins, towards the end of the game guys like Michael Conforto and Edwin Diaz got mercilessly booed by the Mets faithful at Citi Field. At this point? This team should be booed out of the fucking stadium for what they have done to deGrom, Jesus Christ the guy should have at least 2 seasons of 20 wins or more. He's easily the best starting pitcher in the league by a fuckin mile and the Mets are killing any statistic that could solidify him as such In his last 4 seasons deGrom has 78 starts, his record is 25-20, with an ERA of 1.76. In that time frame the deGrom has 33 no decisions and the Mets are 36-42. This is easily one of the more pathetic stats I've ever seen as my time as a Mets fan. It's a question now of how long is deGrom gonna want to deal with this? Every time out, you fuckin know this guy is gonna give his best stuff and he gets shit on by the offense and bullpen in return. When is enough gonna be enough? Because he can request a trade right now and there isn't a fuckin team in this league that wouldn't sell their soul to have this dude as a member of their starting rotation. Shit has to be fixed and fixed real fuckin soon Days after his incredible hall of fame speech and his maybe even better Monday Night Raw speech, it was announced the wrestling world lost The Ultimate Warrior. Easily one of the most polarizing wrestling figures of all time, whether it be his absolutely insane backstage interviews or incredible power in the ring, it's safe to the Warrior will go down as an absolute legend of the wrestling industry. I'm not even gonna lie, I am a grown ass man but the speech Warrior gave on Raw still gives me chills to this day. It was almost like he almost knew his own passing was coming with his wordage during his speech. To see the Warrior finally make amends with the WWE was just something we all needed to see happen and it was just an absolutely amazing scene. Seeing him backstage with Vince, Shane, Stephanie, Triple H and so many other legends was something that will be stamped in my memory forever. And finally seeing Hogan and Warrior bury the hatchet after so many years of bad blood? What a lasting memory he gave all of us wrestling fans, you're still missed warrior, that's for sure. |
