Drew Brees has officially retired and I'm here to say, he was the best QB of my generation. Yeah, I said it.....as far as QB's go? I think he was the best I've seen, yeah Tom Brady is the G.O.A.T, but for my money, Brees was the best QB. Brees played 20 NFL seasons with the Chargers and Saints. Brees won the Super Bowl with the Saints in 2010, bringing much celebration to the city of New Orleans just 5 years after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Brees was more than just a QB in New Orleans he was a pillar of the community donating millions of dollars and countless hours of his time to help out the city of New Orleans. In 2003 Brees established the "Brees Dream Foundation", which states that it will "Improve the quality of life for cancer patients and provide care, eduacation and opportunities to children and families in need". It's safe to say the NFL is losing one of the good guys. Brees ended his career with over 80 thousand passing yard and 271 touchdown passes. He averaged over 4,000 yards/season and 29 touchdown passes/season. This guy is no doubt a first ballot hall of famer and all the best to him in his retirement. Like I said as a Panthers fan? I wont miss seeing him twice a year, but as a football fan I will miss seeing him sling the ball on Sundays.
