There is fucking nothing and I mean nothing I love more that a good bat flip. The birthday boy Jeff McNeil delivered an all-time great bat flip today after absolutely MASHING a game tying home run in the ninth inning to tie the game today. Then the Mets load the bases after after a Luis Guillorme beat out an infield single, Brandon Nimmo slapped an opposite field double followed by an intentional walk to Francisco Lindor to loaddddd em up for the Mets. Then.....then....up comes the hero Michael Conforto. Now you might be asking, "Pat? what did he do?....do he hit a walk off home run?" NO. "Did he have a walk off hit?" NO. "Was it a walk off sac fly?" NO. The genius that is Michael Conforto completely leaned his elbow into a pitch that was clearly in the strike zone to register a walk-off hit by pitch. Now, even Keith Hernandez and Ron Darlin knew that this should have been an out and let's be honest it wasn't even fuckin close hahaha. It was obvious that Conforto leaned his elbow into the pitch, even in real time.....you didn't need a fuckin slow-mo replay to figure out how grimey of a move this was by him. But god damn it do I love the move. A big thank you to the crew of umpires who just completely bottled this call to give the Mets the win today. The Mets are going to win the World Series and there is nothing anyone can to do stop us....so "Say hello to the bad guys"
