Kevyn Adams made a "state of the union" like address about the state of the Buffalo Sabres and here's my take....

                Buffalo Sabres GM Kevyn Adams held a presser today to talk about the Sabres recent struggles and the state of the Sabres. Adams went in on the Sabres play and lack of effort. “It’s just flat out not good enough,” Adams said. “I’m angry and I would hope all of you are. I would hope all our fans are because that means you care. That’s a good place to start.” As a Sabres fan, he's right and I'm pissed off about the teams direction. He then spoke on Jack Eichel, saying he has not requested a trade out of the Queen City. I also genuinely believe Eich's has not asked to be shipped out, but I do also believe he wants change and change needs to happen....now. Kevyn Adams said all the right things, but to be honest? I think he's part of the problem. Like I said about Eichel goes the same for Sabres fans too, we want change we need to see change. I've been a Sabres fan my entire life and I have never been this depressed, emotionless, angry and sad thinking about this team and the fact that there is no light at the end of the tunnel as of now.
            Ralph Kreuger needs to go and he needs to go now. Coming into this season I thought of a #1 line with Taylor Hall, Jack Eichel and Victor Olofsson, we only got to see that a handful of times. Every night I watch this team, there's at least 8-12 line combinations, this just can't happen if you're looking for some kind of synergy and cohesion with players. Before he came in Jeff Skinner was a 40 goal guy, playing with Jack Eichel.....now Jeff Skinner has been a healthy scratch and has not scored a goal in over a year. Krueger has completely shattered this dudes confidence and I am not sure if he can get it back. Taylor Hall has been a complete bust thus far for Buffalo, who knows maybe he can get it together, again I don't know. The Pegula's have no fuckin clue what they're doing managing this team, they need to sell and concentrate on the Bills. 
              Now, I think we need to talk about what's next for the Sabres. As I've already stated, Krueger needs to go, he's been out of the game for too long and doesn't seem to know what the hell he is doing. Kevyn Adams? First year? I don't give a shit he has to go too, get an experienced hockey mind in there and let'ts get going. Jack Eichel is a premiere player in this league and needs some re-enforcements to help him, he can't keep trying to carry this team alone. We need a real president of hockey operations, not Kim Pegula. Outside of being the owner of this team, Kim Pegula should have nothing to do with moves made to try to improve the roster.

Now, here would be my dream scenario for the Sabres moving forward.

Next Head Coach: Gerrad Gllant(this guy can win games and knows hockey. He took an expansion Vegas Knights team to the Cup finals give him the job)

Next GM: Chris Drury (former Sabre's Captain, current Associate GM with the Rangers, he's ready to be a GM in this league and he's a guy fans can get behind)

Next President of Hockey Operations:  I don't care anyone but Kim Pegula, hopefully a former NHL'er who knows what it takes to win in this league, not someone who married a billionaire. I'd love to see LaFontaine come back, but we saw what happened last time he was there, dude couldn't stay for more than three months. Give it to Rob Ray, who gives a shit.
