Lets Look Back to TJ Oshie Becoming An American Hero by Edward Stefaniak

      The year of our Lord 2014, the date February 15th. Team USA Hockey in the winter Olympics in Sochi, a city in Russia most known for being the only Russian city that isn't too cold 365 days a year. Let’s set the scene, USA takes on the Russian federation  in a preliminary hockey game. But for the United States, every game against the Russians is a nail biter. From the 1980 Miracle on Ice to the World Juniors. 
    The game tied at the end of the overtime period with 2 apiece, we head into a shootout. Sure the stakes weren’t as high as the Miracle on Ice, I mean the cold war has been over for 2 decades at this point. But as an American hockey fan, it means everything. But just like the 1980 Team USA Hockey Team, head coach Dan Bylsma called on Oshie like Herb Brooks called on “Suicide drills” “AGAIN”. Oshie up 6 out of 7 shootout attempts scored 4 against Sergei Bobrovsky to defeat the Reds. A federation once known for not losing has been reduced to losing to TJ Oshie and Jonathan Quick. TJ Oshie is truly an American hero, and if you are a kid watching hockey today, watch TJ Oshie. He will teach you how to play the game properly. A true team player and talented playmaker.
